Oui Bee's solo career began at the age of 17. She joined the 'Hydrogen Jukebox' alternative Cabaret forum in Darlington, and was quickly snapped up as the resident songwriter/performer, based on her cutting lyrics and smooth vocal charm. This regular stint gave her the chance to build up an eclectic repertoir of original songs, some of which she still performs. Oui Bee landed in Leeds in 2005, and quickly established herself as a prominent artist on the vast Leeds acoustic scene. She recently took up invitations to perform in Liverpool, Manchester and Camden and has been invited back again. Although the demo recordings (see myspace) do show off her talent for songwriting, her live performance has an intensity and edge that is the envy of many other acoustic acts around.
