London Astoria jan 2008
There is a wealth of boy band indie floating around at the moment - think scouting for girls, the feeling, the kooks - but york's one night only do it better than the rest. catchy pop numbers such as 'you and me' lead to hormone driven school girls collapsing on the dancefloor at the sight of front man george craig's wiry frame. but one night only may get caught between the gutter and the stars: too poppy to be considered rock, too indie to be considered pop - this may be dangerous territory for a band still cutting their teeth in the game. however, it doesnt seem to be standing in their may at the moment. the astoria 2 was packed to the rafters tonight with everyone going home thouroughly entertained.
