Norma Jean
"Southern music in D minor"
Originally known as Luti-Kriss, the band released their first album in 1999, the "Travail+Luti-Kriss" which was then re-released as an EP titled 5ep in 2000.The band then put out a full-length release, Throwing Myself, in 2001. In order to avoid confusion with rapper Ludacris, who is also from the Atlanta area, the band changed their name to Norma Jean. Their next album was released in March of 2005 and it was titled O God, the Aftermath. Their original vocalist, Josh Scogin, and original bassist, Joshua Doolittle, left the band shortly after the release of Bless the Martyr and Kiss the Child and were replaced by Jake Schultz and Cory Brandan in 2003.Norma Jean recently released ‘Redeemer’ which was recorded with producer Ross Robinson.
