From the wilds of leafy North London come ‘The Nameless’, a four piece guitar band fusing elements of Post-Grunge Rock, the melodic sensibility of a barbershop quartet and an immediacy of song writing rarely seen in popular music over the last decade. First formed 3 years ago, when the brothers Ben and Richard Bueno (Guitars/ Vocals) decided to combine musical forces after a 4-year hiatus since their former band Serum which achieved some chart success with the Indie label ‘Things to Come’. ‘The Nameless’ are the musical fruit of the new more mature song writing process. The influences of ‘The Nameless’ range from early Nirvana to The Beach Boys, Simon and Garfunkel to Queen – if it’s got a catchy tune awash with harmony, power and emotion, they’re there. Recognizing this rich vein of song writing, Alex Cromarty (Drums/Vocals) moved down from North Yorkshire to drive the rhythm behind the powerful melodies the Bueno’s evoke. Indeed, Alex may not have ever known of the Buenos if it were not for a chance meeting between Ben and Alex during a quick smoke outside a London music venue. Completing the line-up is Steve Kennedy (Bass), long time ally of the brothers Bueno, who likewise recognized the power of the emergent line-up and sought to bring the beef to proceedings. Further to the band’s hibernation from press and industry, ‘The Nameless’ have embarked on a spate of gigs around the country and have now produced a self titled demo that captures the energy of their live shows. So, go score some orange Smarties and prepare to be dazzled, ‘The Nameless’ are on the way.
